VALENTINO

Valentino, an Italian brand established in 1959 by Valentino Garavani is theessence of young modern while remaining true to chic, feminine lines. RESTIR Midtown hosted an exhibition of a collection by Valentino's successor, Alessandra Facchinetti, (Former Creative Director of the House of Gucci) after Valentino retired from the world stage in 2008. The Valentino exhibition was more like a fashion show with mirrors lining the walls of the exhibition space and V-shaped TV wall monitors casting out exciting show images. The stage was dressed up to look like a fashion show catwalk dotted with mannequins donning items from Valentino's autumn winter collection. A club event was also staged featuring Japanese DJ, Takkyu Ishino. The interior walls of the reception area were adorned with image photos around a bar counter. Catering was also provided in the form of drinks and finger food.
